Discover the simplicity, wildness and expressive nature of encaustic monotypes. Monotypes are a simple way to connect with nature, practice mindfulness, cultivate a deeper sense of presence in your process and appreciation for the beauty and value of imperfection. Using both opaque and transparent colors and delicate Asian papers, you will lose yourself in creating luminous colors that dance across your heated surface and pull beautiful one-of-a-kind prints. We will dive into basic materials needed for monotypes, preparing your workspace, creating fluid forms in your prints, and play with experimental techniques.
