LIVE ONLINE WORKSHOP: BLOOM & WAX (JULY 11 TH, 6-8 PM ES)
BLOOM & WAX: EXPLORING BOTANICALS IN ENCAUSTIC (JULY 11 TH, 6-8pm ES)
JOIN ME LIVE ON ZOOM. (The session will be recorded and available a week after live class).
Discover the magic of combining botanicals with encaustic techniques in this immersive, hands- on- workshop. In Bloom & Wax, you’ll learn to create botanical prints and fuse them with encaustic wax and transform local botanicals into stunning works of art. Explore how to incorporate dried flowers and foliage into wax layers to add depth and texture, and design floral collages that combine ink, deco foil, papers, image transfers, and other mixed-media techniques. The workshop also includes making encaustic relief prints from foliage foraged around your area, adding a uniquely local touch to your creations. Additionally, there will be a presentation showing how botanicals inform my own work. Whether you’re new to encaustics or looking to deepen your practice, this experience will inspire experimentation and creativity.
