YOUNG ARTISTS STUDIO: Group Classes, ages 8-12/ 13-17
These small art classes are tailored to the students and what mediums they want to explore. We dive into drawing and painting with acrylic paint, watercolor, charcoal, ink and graphite and much more. Each lesson introduces students to a new artist like Gustav Klimt, Georgia O’Keeffe, Horace Pippin, Michelangelo, Amy Sherald, and a new concept such as perspective, composition, and light/shadow. Students will improve their skills in drawing and painting as well as enrich their love of art and art history.
2024 SCHEDULE
WEDNESDAYS 4PM-5PM (AGES 8-12)
WEDNESDAYS 5PM-6PM (AGES 13-17)
Students will explore different techniques and materials to draw from observation. We will be painting on 16x20 canvases with acrylic paint. Students can learn how to paint portraits, animals, landscapes or still-lifes. All students can participate in our student art show at Chez Ana in the fall.
$45 PER CLASS
$200 FOR SIX WEEKS
(ALL MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED FOR)
CLASS SIZE LIMITED TO SIX STUDENTS AND WILL MEET AT THE ARTIST'S RESIDENCE IN CORNWALL-ON-HUDSON.
STUDIO POLICIES:
Payment must accompany registration to guarantee a seat in class.
Missed classes are non-refundable but can be transferable if you notify me in advance.
