Small Group Art Classes For Kids & Teens

6 Week Classes

Young Artist Studio & STEAM Workshops
Give your child the chance to explore art, imagination, and innovation in small, engaging classes designed to spark curiosity and confidence.

🌿 Plein Air Adventures and Art Explorations – (Sept 17, 24, Oct 1,8,22, 29) We’ll head outdoors for observational drawing and painting, teaching kids to see the world around them with fresh eyes while connecting to nature through art. Kids will also experiment with printmaking, cyanotypes, watercolor, and acrylic painting, discovering how each medium unlocks new ways of expression.

📖 Artist & Writer Workshop – (Nov 5, 12, 19, Dec 3, 10, 17) Over two months, kids and teens will dream up their own stories, create illustrations, and design a finished book they’ll proudly read at a local café. A magical blend of art and storytelling!

STEAM Explorations – (Jan 14, 21, 28, Feb 4, 11, 18) Dive into 3D printing, environmental art, and sculpture while blending science, technology, and creativity. Students will learn how art and innovation come together to shape the future.

🏞️ Art-Centered Field Trips – (FALL & WINTER) We’ll visit Storm King Art Center and DIA:Beacon to explore modern and contemporary art in person, expanding young minds and sparking curiosity.

These workshops are designed to nurture imagination, connect art to the environment, and give kids & teens a creative community where their ideas can truly bloom.

Bio
Teaching art is at the heart of my practice! I am passionate about inspiring students of all ages to be curious, playful, and fearless in their creativity. Currently, I teach afterschool programs at Cornwall-on-Hudson Elementary and Lee Road Elementary, and serve as a Freelance Educator at Storm King Art Center. I also lead workshops at Garrison Art Center and Woodstock School of Art, where I guide students through painting, printmaking, and mixed media explorations. My goal as a teacher is to create welcoming spaces where imagination thrives and students feel empowered to express their unique voice through art. In addition to teaching, I am represented by Carrie Haddad Gallery, where my own studio practice continues to inform and inspire my approach to education.
