Using a variety of encaustic supplies you will learn how to let colors dance across your heated palette and pull beautiful one-of-a-kind monotypes. You will learn various types of washi papers and how to create unique patterns, marks and shapes using various encaustic techniques.
I will provide encaustic hotplates, paper, pigmented wax, clear encaustic medium, spatulas other mark making tools, and a special gift to take home. I encourage all students to bring a sketchbook with heavy mixed media paper, weight of paper should be 120 or more.
